Hello Auntie Pearl, just a quick request for one of your lekker huisraadjies.
I have recently developed very dry elbows, and want to know if you can offer some relief.
From Sharron.
Ooh, meisie, Auntie can sympathise, a droeg elmboog is not nice.
Luckily you came to the right place because Auntie does have a few pearls of wisdom that could help:
Zam-Buk:
That’s right Sharron, this eucalyptus and thyme oil-infused ointment really is a green miracle balm. Smear it on your elbows in the morning and night, and feel the relief.
Vaseline:
The old-fashioned way to use Vaseline (or petroleum jelly) is to moisturise your elbows before bed then take a sock that you’ve cut open and slip it over your elbow. But petroleum jelly might clog pores.
A more modern, unconventional method is to rub on Vaseline, then after 10 minutes take a steamy hot shower. The moisturiser penetrate.
Banana:
Which is rich in Vitamin C, and the peel has anti-fungal and antibiotic properties. So simply take a banana peel and rub it on your elbows!
