And klopse fans were treated to the mother of all parties at the Cape Town Street Parade on Saturday.
For the hundreds of mense who camped out with gazebos and chairs on the pavements days before the parade, it was worth the wait to watch 35 minstrel troupes entertain them behoorlik from 2pm until almost midnight.
Spectators also raved about the stage performers and massive screens set up in Darling and Wale Street where they could follow all the action.
