Another innocent person has been shot in Kensington after a second failed attempt to kill a notorious merchant.
A woman walking home on Wednesday afternoon was caught in the crossfire during a drive-by shooting in 5th Avenue as skollies tried to kill the Americans gang dik ding.

Community Police Forum (CPF) spokesperson, Zainulabideen van der Schyff, says the incident occurred shortly after 3.30pm and the woman was struck in the leg but survived the shooting.
A video shared on social media shows the woman sitting on the pavement crying in pain as her leg bleeds while residents surround her.
Police spokeswoman Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana confirms a case of attempted murder has been opened for investigation.
“According to information a 32-year-old woman was shot and wounded. Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation with no arrests at this stage.”
This shooting took place metres away from the Sasol garage where Yunus September, 36, was killed and two others wounded a day earlier.

On Tuesday just after 7pm, Yunus was shot four times when he went to the garage to help a friend tow away his broken-down old Mercedes-Benz.
Two other men, aged 32 and 42, were injured in the shooting.
Yunus’ family said he was not a skollie and was simply trying to help a friend and was “at the wrong place at the wrong time”.
A resident, who asked not to be named, says in both shootings the gunmen were looking for a skollie known as “Nigga”.
“He is a big-time merchant for the Americans gang and in both shootings they were looking for him and innocent people got hit,” he says.
“That whole area around the garage belongs to the Americans and all the gangs are fighting each other for turf in Kensington.”
A manager at the garage refused to comment and says the shootings have nothing to do with their business: “We have no comment and these incidents are unrelated to our business.”
Van der Schyff says the motive behind the shootings is believed to be gang-related.
He says amid the ongoing gang violence, they will host a community meeting on Saturday at the Kensington Civic Centre at 3pm to present a plan of action.
“We appeal to all residents to be vigilant and report all suspicious activity to police or any relevant authorities,” he says.
