A man has died after he invited the killer inside the house he had sitting in with a friend.
Police were called to the house in Boekenhout Street, Eastridge, Mitchell’s Plain on Monday, September 17 just after 8pm where they found the body of the 29-year-old.
The man had been sitting in the lounge with a friend when there was a knock at the front door.
The victim then called out to the person to enter the house, saying: “Come in.”
Once the unknown man entered the premises, he took our a black 9mm pistol and fired four shots at the man.
The man was shot in the face, left shoulder and in both of his legs and died at the scene.
Sources reveal the man was known for robbing people in the community and apparently linked to the Americans gang.
The suspect is still at large and one cartridge was found at the scene.
