The Western Cape Education Department is urging pupils to raise their voices and not their phones when it comes to bullying.
This comes after yet another fight involving school children being filmed and the video posted on social media.
Girls from Belhar High School were filmed fighting after school on Tuesday.
In the 29-second video, boys and girls in uniform can be seen leaving the school and outside, two girls dressed in grey pants and white T-shirts approach a meisie wearing a blue skirt, white shirt and tie.
One girl in pants says: “Jy was mos lekker met Chloe and Tammy nuh. Toe is jy sterk met jou werk, ****er, ” before punching her in the face.
The meisie fights back and the crowd of learners can be heard yelling: “Jy, moer haar!”
The girl in the pants sits on top of the other meisie and punches her before a boy pushes her off.
It is not clear what the fight was about.
WCED spokesperson Bronagh Hammond says the girls involved will face disciplinary action.
“The incident happened away from the school after learners had been dismissed,” she says.
“The two learners from Belhar High School are in Grade 10. The other girl is not from the school.”
She says because of the video, the learners now face disciplinary action.
“The learners’ parents were notified after the incident took place. They will be facing disciplinary action.”
She says some learners ran back into the school to inform teachers of the fight.
“The WCED does not condone any violence, and we also encourage learners to desist from taking and sharing videos of this nature,” Hammond added.
