Residents got the shock of their lives when several members of the Springbok squad made home deliveries on Thursday.
The players came out in full force to hand out food to needy families in Kraaifontein.
There was huge excitement as Cheslin Kolbe, Justin Geduld and Scarra Ntubeni went door to door with actor Siv Ngesi to hand out loaves of bread, milk and bakkies boontjie kos, as well as bags of vegetables with carrots, squash and potatoes.
For World Cup hero Cheslin, it was a bittersweet return to the his community.
The bags of veggies were so heavy that the Bok stars had to flex their muscles and offered to carry the parcels to the homes of women and elderly residents.

The stars were too busy distributing food and left the speaking to Granthem Abrahams, the CEO of Be The Difference Foundation, under whose umbrella the feeding schemes are taking place.
“Chessie mentioned that he was very excited to be back home with his family and friends, especially if the rugby season hopefully resumes in November,” said Granthem.
Resident Serge Kruger, 35, of Scottsville says he could not believe his eyes when he saw his rugby heroes in his neighbourhood: “It is wonderful to see them ploughing back into the communities. And they even did house deliveries!”
Aunty Mimmie Deysel, 66, says she didn’t even realise who was carrying her bag of veggies until her excited children alerted her.
“Scarra carried my bag of food home. Die kinders wou uit hulle vel spring toe Scarra met my kos hamper in ons huis stap. Never have I felt so famous,” she jokes.
“Scarra told me he enjoys helping the elderly. The rugby players were all so humble and we thank them for assisting us in this time of need.”

Petronella Titus, 49, says she was equally starstruck.
“It was wonderful to see them, usually you only get to see them on television,” she says.
“ My naweek is gemaak!”
Chanrey Gibbons added: “It was really wonderful to see Scottsville’s own hero Cheslin.”
Granthem says all the donations for the food parcels came from the rugby players’ own pockets as well as some other sponsors.
