With the number of Covid-19 cases within South Africa now at 150, the City of Cape Town will restrict the usage of public facilities to try to stop the spread of the virus.
This week, several public facilities have been closed including: swimming pools; camping sites and resorts; museums; community halls and civic centres; recreational hubs; stadiums, spray parks; picnic spots; City sports fields and nature reserves.
However, cemeteries will remain open.
Libraries have also been closed, but the City is providing a drop and pick-up service.
You can make your request telephonically, or via email, staff will then prepare the material to be collected by patrons at the library entrance.
Residents are also encouraged to use the government’s online facilities for the services like e-Billing; motor vehicle licence renewals and fines; report a fault or request a
