A nurse who fed her boyfriend’s jolmeit dog poo may lose more than just her freedom as the Health Department could take disciplinary action against her if she is given bail.
On Wednesday it was revealed in the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court that the resignation letter submitted by theatre nurse Elizabeth “Mimmie” Williams, 38, several days after her arrest had been rejected as she only gave 24 hours notice, instead of the required four weeks.
It also emerged that two other people have been busted for their role in the incident which led to the torture and public humiliation of Ivodene “Dienkie” van Niekerk, 28, on 26 July.
A viral video which shows Mimmie forcing Dienkie to eat her dog k@k for sleeping with Mimmie’s boyfriend, Franco “Jubie” Booysen, sparked an outcry in Elsies River, leading to residents reporting the “inhumane” nurse to cops.

In the video, Mimmie is clearly heard telling Dienkie the results of her STI and HIV tests after she allegedly illegally drew blood from the woman.
She allegedly fed Dienkie abortion tablets.
She is also accused of beating Dienkie with a dog chain and threatening to set her pit bull and boerboel on her private parts.
On Wednesday, Magistrate Bukiwe Sambudla was expected to deliver a judgement, on Mimmie’s bail application, but instead brought proceedings to a halt, when she called officials from the Western Cape Health Department to court.
Head of administration and human resources at Tygerberg Hospital, Philip Wolfaardt, told the court that Mimmie’s handwritten resignation letter, citing “personal reasons”, was submitted on 5 August while she was in the mang.

He said it was rejected as she needed to give four weeks notice, and management needed to establish if she had brought the hospital into disrepute.
“There may be a disciplinary process and the hospital will have to report the matter to the SA Nursing Council,” he added.
Porchia Jonkers, 26, and Princess Gopie, 35, have been charged with luring Dienkie to Mimmie’s house and they have both been released on R1000 bail.
Meanwhile, the State has also charged Amber Booysen, 21, and Desmond Alexander, 42, with assault, as they were allegedly involved in the filming of the incident.

Speaking outside court, Alexander, a neighbour, said he saw a commotion outside Princess’ house and went to see what was happening.
He admits to being the male voice on the video saying: “Kom, kom, kom. Eet, eet, eet. Van nou af is jou naam aah eet [Come, come. come. Eat, eat, eat. From now on your name is poo eater].”
Booysen admits to making a video of the incident, but claims “it did not come out”.
The duo handed themselves over to police on Wednesday and were released on R1000 bail.
Mimmie’s bail judgement was postponed to 19 August.
