A month before she was due to give birth to a baby girl, the family of a Manenberg mom were left scooping her brains into a bag after evil skollies shot her eight times.
Nine people were arrested in connection with the attack the next day.
The heartbroken family of Sadiqah Newman, 26, say her murder has left them confused and angry as to why gunmen would shoot her four times in the head, while she begged for her life.

Dad Yassiem Newman, 51, says the young mom of two had gone out to buy electricity on Thursday shortly before 10pm and was walking with a friend when gunmen opened fire on them.
" Hulle het haar in die bene en arm geskiet [they shot her in the legs and arm]," the father tells the Daily Voice.
"We are hearing lots of stories, people told us that the shooters stood over her body and shot her in the head. Haar tande was uit haar mond geskiet. [Her teeth were shot out of her mouth]."
Yassiem believes the shooters were after Sadiqah’s friend.
"She was walking with a friend, but she didn’t know that he had just come out of jail," he says.
“Ons is baie omgekrap dat sy so geskiet is, ek moes haar breins optel en in ’n pakkie sit.” [We are very upset that she was shot, I had to scoop up her brains and put it into a plastic.]

Her heartbroken mother, Nadeema, 51, says they heard the gunshots and when they arrived on the scene, they found Sadiqah clutching R9.50 in her hand, but that her cellphone had been stolen.
“The police told us there were two types of cartridges on the scene so we don’t know if there was more than one shooter,” Nadeema adds.
According to a police source, officers of the Anti-Gang Unit followed up information and found the alleged murder weapon at a home in Tambo Village where they arrested a Dixie Boy skollie and two female friends.

Several hours later, Manenberg detectives continued following up on leads and arrested six more members of the Dixie Boys gang, and charged them with Sadiqah’s murder.
“It was a modified pistol and had two magazines somehow, but they will do tests,” says the source.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, confirms the case and says the gun was found inside a house in Lillian Ngoyi Street.
“The firearm was confiscated and booked in as exhibit. The firearm will be sent for ballistic tests to determine if it was used in the commission of crime.”
He confirms that a 29-year-old man was also shot and injured in the incident.
The three suspects caught with the gun will appear in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court on Monday on illegal possession of a firearm charges while the other six skollies will appear for murder.
Sadiqah’s janaazah was held on Saturday and she was laid to rest at Klip Road Cemetery.
IN GRIEF: Yassiem Newman baffled by daughter’s murder
Yassiem says he has not only lost a daughter but also a grandchild.
“Sy was baie excited vir haar baby, sy het nou in die week vir my gesê ek moet haar maag voel, die baby skop,” he says. [She was very excited about her baby, in the week she told me the feel her stomach as the baby was kicking.]
“She was eight months along and it was a girl and they were going to name her Laeeqah.
“She has two other children, Qudsiyyah, 6, and Yushrie, 8, who will now grow up without a mother.
“Her husband was here for the janaazah, but had to go back to the Northern Cape.”
