These dom skelms robbed a cellphone shop at a mall but must have gotten a nasty surprise to find that two of the phones were DUMMIES.
Wakker security guards at the Tyger Valley Shopping Centre interrupted five diewe as they were busy robbing the Samsung store at the mall on Bill Bezuidenhout Avenue in Tyger Valley on Monday.
The marketing manager for the shopping centre, Laretha Blom, explains: “On Monday, at approximately 12.10pm, five males entered the Samsung store on the upper level at Entrance 10.
“Due to the proactive action and response time from the centre security, the robbery was foiled. The safety of the staff and all shoppers are of the utmost importance.”
The dom skelms were so haastig to flee with their loot, they didn’t even realise they had taken dummy phones.
“One phone was taken from a staff member, and two dummy phones from the display unit. Fortunately, nobody was hurt,” Blom added.
Pictures of the suspects were posted on social media, showing two of them running out of the mall.
Their getaway car, a white Toyota Corolla, was also seen parked in a disabled bay.

The men jump into the vehicle and they sped off.
“The suspects drove off in a white Toyota. Clear footage of the suspects, the vehicle and the number plate were handed over to the SAPS,” Blom added.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, says detectives are following up on all leads but no arrests have been made yet.
“A business robbery case has been opened for investigation following an incident that occurred on Monday at a cellphone shop on Bill Bezuidenhout Avenue, Tyger Valley,” she says.
“According to information, suspects, one armed with a firearm, entered the shop and threatened the victim with a firearm while the other robbed the store. They fled the scene with phones.”
