Senior superintendent Zelda Martin explains: "Just after 8am on Tuesday morning, patrolling Metro Police officers spotted a suspicious looking car reversing for the driveway of a house in Parow-Valley.
"They stopped the car, and on approached they smelled dagga. The cops then searched the vehicle and found three packets of dagga found hidden under the car's spare wheel.
"Police then proceeded to conduct a search of the house, where they discovered 16 more bags of hydroponic dagga with a street value of 40 000.
"The suspect, aged 48, was arrested and detained at Parow police department on a charge of dealing in drugs."
