This is the face of one of the men who was allegedly caught on camera attacking and robbing a woman at Sunrise Circle in Muizenberg.
Police have arrested two suspects after the 9 February incident after successfully tracing the car used in the robbery, a larney silver Mercedes Benz A-Class, to an address in Blouberg.
This then led to the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect from Retreat on Friday, 22 February.
It is unclear when the second suspect was arrested.
One of the men robbed the woman of her handbag and cellphone while the other was the driver of the Mercedes.
A third suspect remains at large.
The arrested suspects, Fernando Roman and Claude Adriaanse, made an appearance at the Muizenberg Magistrates’ Court on Friday where they were each granted R1000 bail.
Their bail conditions prohibit them from being in the vicinity of Muizenberg except for when they are supposed to appear in court.
The men from Cafda, Retreat, were then released and warned to be back at court on 30 May.
The matter has been postponed for further investigation.
Cops say a video of the robbery, which went viral on social media, helped them nab the alleged skelms.
The video shows a woman being attacked and robbed of her valuables by two men in a silver Merc as she walks on Sunrise Boulevard in Costa da Gama around 7.40am.
One man grabs her bag and heads back into the waiting car while the second man wrestles with her for a few seconds.
It’s unclear whether he was trying to drag her into the car, but he grabs her phone which falls on the ground and is soon seen running back to the vehicle before it speeds off.
