“Mommy, where are my biscuits?”
These were the last words Desireé Daniels heard her seven-year-old son say before he was shot and killed in an alleged gang shooting on Sunday.
Cops on Monday confirmed that four people have been arrested for his killing.
Little Ezra Daniels’ death sparked a riot in Parkwood on Sunday as residents demanded that the people driving the car used in the drive-by shooting be arrested.
Residents marched to the home of an alleged gang boss, whom they say is responsible for Ezra’s death, and hurled stones.
They also made bonfires near the murder scene in Abdullah Moosa Walk throughout the night as his hartseer mother was comforted by the community.
According to witnesses, the laaitie was playing in the road with his friends when a white Volkswagen Golf drove by and opened fire on a man walking nearby shortly after 5pm.

On Monday rumours swirled that the leader of the Junky Funkys had been arrested for the incident.
A resident, who asked not to be named, says she was told he was arrested a few hours after the shooting.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, says three men aged 27, 29 and 33 and a 20-year-old woman were arrested. They will appear in court once charged.
He also says Parkwood residents injured two police officers and damaged a police vehicle during Sunday’s riot.
Meanwhile, grieving mom Desireé says she is still in shock and is struggling to come to grips with his death.
The youngest of four children, Ezra was a Grade 1 learner at Hyde Park Primary School who loved nothing more than watching “poppentjies” and playing outside.
The mom says a few hours before he died, Ezra ran into the house to ask for biscuits.
“ Ek was binne en hy het altyd hier voor gespeel. Hy het vir biscuits gevra and I told him ‘there are your biscuits’. I never thought that would be the last thing I would hear him say,” she says.

Desireé says a few minutes later her eldest son, Dean, ran into the house telling her Ezra had been shot.
“Two women were holding his head and I just saw a gat in his neck. He was still alive and I held his hand until he went.
“ En daai is wat vir my so seer maak. One of his eyes were still open en hy het gelyk soos iemand wat slaap.”
“It was only this morning when I got up and I wanted to get him ready for school that I realised he is not here. I am happy they arrested the people in the car, but I just want to know until when? Every time they shoot they get arrested and the next day they are out,” she says.
