A Kensington father is pleading for help in finding his 15-year-old daughter who has been missing since December.
Riyaad van Niekerk, 38, has been searching for Dhaukia Holmes for two weeks and now fears for her life.
The worried dad says the teen was last seen on 20 December after leaving home over an argument about chores.
“She has a drug problem and often runs away, but not for so long,” he admits.
“She was supposed to start high school next week and we have been looking for her for a long time now.
“She smokes tik and mandrax and every time she gets cravings, she starts fights with us at home so she can run away.
“Every time I report her missing and I go find her on my own, but this time we have been unable to find her.
“I reported her missing to the police but they have not come to see me as yet.
Gone: Dhaukia Holmes
“The police have found her before and threatened to take her to a home if she continues to run away, but she doesn’t listen.
“She is only a teenager and a girl who can be at risk on these streets.
“We are desperately asking anyone who has seen her to call me, we just want her safe.”
Dhaukia was last seen wearing a black dress. She is 1.4 metres tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
