“ Sy gesig maak my naar,” said a sobbing female witness, who yesterday testified against alleged rapist and murderer Cameron Wilson.
Wilson, 21, is on trial in the Western Cape High Court on six charges of murder, including that of two teenage girls.
Christoline van Roodt took the stand to testify against Wilson, who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend of seven years, Ernest “Ernie” Erasmus, to death over a R20 on December 26, 2014.
Wilson is being tried simultaneously on 15 charges, including six murders, three charges of rape, attempted murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
He is accused of killing Lekita Moore, 19, last year, and Stacey-Lee Mohale, 16, in 2015.
Christoline told the court that after Ernie realised he had lost his dagga, they left their home in New Lentegeur to go back to Heinz Park, where Wilson lived.
“We walked the same route as we had on our way home and found the dagga,” she said.
On their way to “Angel se jaart”, an alleged drug den, they saw Wilson, whom they only knew as “Wong”.
“Wong demanded that Ernie give him the R20 he had on him and Ernie refused. That’s when Wong stabbed him once in his neck with a screwdriver and Ernie shouted at me to run in by Angel’s place, and I did,” Christolene testified.
She later went looking for Ernie, until a woman told her he was “lying dead on the soccer field”.
“When I got there, the morgue people and detectives were on the scene. When the detectives told me to remove all Ernie’s belongings, he still had the R20 and his cellphone on him,” Christolene said.
Christolene had another outburst when the defence said Wilson denied all allegations.
“ Jy het nie ‘n hart nie! Hy praat vullis! Hy het my man voor my dood gesteek! Jy’s ‘n gemors, jy!” she screamed at Wilson.
Next, the court heard a gruesome account from an alleged rape victim of Wilson's in April 2015.
Wilson and the victim’s cousin were friends and both allegedly attacked her on the soccer field in Heinz Park.
Wilson allegedly dragged her to a nearby bridge where he forced her “scared” cousin to kick her, before he raped her.
“I asked him: ‘Wong, wat maak jy dan nou?’ but he never said anything.”
“He forced himself into me. I was shouting for help, but daar was niemand nie.”
When he was finished, she ran away, but he came after her and stabbed her with a knife in the neck.
“He ran off when people coming up the road started shouting,” she added.
The trial continues today.
