The men accused of murdering seven-year-old Emaan Solomons of Ocean View will have to wait a while longer to hear their fate.
Eben Basson, 27, and Chivargo Fredericks, 20, made an appearance at the Simon’s Town Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday via AVR (Audio Visual Remand).
The duo are facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
Their case was postponed to 1 July for further investigation.
Emaan’s father Azmir Oosthuizen was also present at court, but did not want to comment.
SUSPECT: Fredericks
The State is set to prove that the men are affiliated with the 27s gang, the Junkie Funkies.
The Funkies are currently fighting a rival gang, the Taylors in Ocean View.
It is believed that during the gunfire meant for their rivals, Basson and Fredericks allegedly shot and killed Emaan and wounded a male person on Libra Street on 25 February.
Emaan had been playing with her friends in the front yard of her home when she was struck with a bullet while the male victim was rushed to hospital and survived.
The name of the victim may not be identified for investigation purposes.

Sources reveal Fredericks had been caught just hours after Emaan was shot by members of the Anti-Gang Unit.
Previously the suspects relatives told the Daily Voic e the wrong people were arrested.
A day after Emaan’s death, residents set alight five alleged Ocean View drug dens.
