A Blikkiesdorp couple died in a hail of bullets when armed men opened fire on their home in Delft yesterday.
Albert, 30, and Stephanie Mbenya, 27, were home alone when several shooters entered their home and shot them dead.
Albert was shot in the head close to the bed, while
Stephanie was shot five times in the bathroom.
More than 26 shots were fired at the couple and neighbours said they thought the couple were busy fixing their roof.
The couple were found dead by their 11-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son. The children had gone to the shop a few doors down when the shooters arrived. The girl ran to get a neighbour and police were called in.
Traumatised family members on Monday said they have no idea why Albert and Stephanie were killed.
