Last week, a bread delivery truck driver and his co-workers were held up by a gang of gun-toting skelms who locked them up in the back before making off with R15 000 cash.
The lorry was found abandoned along the R300 highway on Wednesday morning.
Law Enforcement officers patrolling the highway came to the aid of the three men who were locked in the truck after the skelms had fled the scene near Stock Road.
Law Enforcement spokesperson, Wayne Dyason, says the three men had made a delivery at a huiswinkel in Mfuleni on Wednesday morning when the three boewe pounced.
No arrests have been made in that incident.
