A group of underprivileged children from across the Cape Flats enjoyed a lekker outing to the V&A Waterfront with a guided tour of the Two Oceans Aquarium, after which they were served a delicious lunch, courtesy of generous members of the Playerz Inc klopse.
Over the last few months, director Achmat Williams says the Kensington-based troupe has reached out to Cape Flats communities.
And on Monday, in celebration of Youth Day, they decided to spoil a group of more than 50 children.
The excited laaities were brought in with transport provided by the club and taken on a tour of the aquarium, where they learnt about sea life.
Afterwards, they were all taken to Green Point Urban Park, where they were treated to entertainment by the Playerz Inc band.

Each youngster was served a delicious pre-packed lunch of braai, pie and salads, as well as a party pack.
Williams says he just wanted the children to know what being kids is all about.
“Our children don’t get to have a childhood. We want to remind people that giving is a gift,” he says.
