Rocking 4 Cancer rukked at Club West End on Friday night as hundreds of mense came out to support the cause for cancer.
There was a kwaai line-up of acts to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer foundation (CHOC).
This was the seventh annual event, organised by friends Casey Jeftha, Tarin Wiehahn and Carmelita Daniels.
This year they raised over R13 000, beating their record of last year.
Casey says: “Rocking 4 Cancer started seven years ago when three friends with a love for live music realised what a huge impact it could have for a worthy cause.
“Cancer is close to our hearts and the idea for Rocking 4 Cancer was born.
“We rely solely on public and business sponsorship and this event is all about having a good time but in aid of amazing charities.”
Comedian Yaseen Barnes had the crowd rolling on the floor with laughter.
This, while local artists such as Kerwin Baatjies, Motive Harmonizers, Andrea Fortuin, Novocaine Band, Drummers Unite SA, DJ Clint Supreme and DJ Cool J, Von D from Afrikaans Ruk and Shadley Schroeder gave mense a lekker tyd with their performances.
Everyone came dressed in white with a gold ribbon to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September.
