A family member of Anele “Nelli” Tembe has publicly outed AKA for jolling with his former bestie's baby mama.
Rapper Da L.E.S. – real name Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jr. – has become in the AKA saga after it was alleged his girlfriend Aurea Alexander and SupaMega were cheating with each other.
This was revealed in an anonymous email to podcast host MacG, claiming to be from a Tembe family member, a day after Nelli fell to her death from the 10th floor of a CBD hotel on 11 April.
The email was only read out loud on Podcast and Chill on 17 May as podcast co-host Sol Phenduka was reportedly unsure if it was legit.
The email reads: “Hi, my name is anonymous from Tembe family in KZN. I am writing this to you. Hope in prayer that you will tell the truth. I feel hurt and disappointed and hurt by the Nellie situation.
“I feel we cannot simply ignore nor tell the truth.
“Nellie was suffering in her relationship… She struggled with cheating and abuse from Kiernan.
“It started last year when she mentioned that she tried to take her life after finding out he was sleeping with other women."
At her funeral, Nelli's father Moses Tembe rubbished claims she was suicidal, but a video showed her threatening suicide while atop a Durban hotel.
The source adds: “What really shook Nellie was when she found out sexual messages of AKA and Da L.E.S’ baby mama. She was devastated.
“The messages broke her heart. It was there in plain sight, AKA was having an affair with Aurea, Da L.E.S’ baby mama who is still in a relationship with Da L.E.S."
The source writes that AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, tried to stop Aurea from rekking her bek to Da L.E.S.: "Kiernan sent Aurea R20 000 to silence her after she was feeling guilty and wanted to tell Da L.E.S. Nellie found the messages and communication about situations and immediately called Da L.E.S.”
The "family member" says Nelli forwarded Da L.E.S. all the proof, including screenshots, of the alleged sexting between AKA and Aurea.
This led to a fallout between the brasse and Da L.E.S. has cut ties with AKA.
In the wake of the scandal, Aurea, who shares a seven-year-old daughter with Da L.E.S, posted a video of them together in a bathtub, captioned: ”Good morning. Love and light to all.”
She said in a statement: “In moments of tragedy, there are no winners. It is with a heavy heart, but I choose to focus on the future where my family and love is the baseline; I think we need a lot more of it to go around, as no one wins in conflict!”
The Fela In Versace hitmaker, 33, has, meanwhile, lost his Vodka Cruz sponsorship deal and has withdrawn from gigs.
