Hello to the last quarter of the year. October is Cancer Awareness Month.
So local entertainers are gearing up to help raise funds for a little cancer patient, Leah Singh.
Good Hope FM DJs Luda Ash, the first lady Portia Mckenzie alongside DJs Rolstoel, Killa B, Clarence, Figaro, Naeem and Fallo, will be wrecking the decks on Friday night at Yaardt 3.
This will be the third edition of the Yaardt party, says organiser Venecia Valentine.
Funnyman Devon “Devdondidit” Saunders will be the MC, while Get It Entertainment will make sure the jol keeps rolling with the best sound and lighting.

“The event is called Yaardt Beats For Leah because this time we are raising funds for the one-year-old baby girl, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma (cancer in the ear),” says Venecia.
“Yaardt started in May this year when we literally had a party in my yard.
“I’m sure many from the Cape Flats can relate when they hear about a yard party. It’s the kind of party where you don’t have to be posh to be cool, you can just be yourself and enjoy the old and new trends of yard music.”
The jol takes place at Rocklands Soccer Field Hall in Mitchells Plain on Friday night, so bring along your camp chairs to sit around the gallie and play a game of dums (dominoes) on the kissie.

The dress code is “ stiek uit in your threads of yesteryear”.
Leah, from Malibu Village, is an only child and is currently undergoing expensive chemotherapy at Tygerberg Hospital.
