Cape Town was treated to a phenomenal show at GrandWest’s Grand Arena on Saturday where the iconic Alistair Izobell had his Rebirth show.
Alistair says: “This show was once again confirmation of what incredible talent we have.
“The aerial act, the choir, the band, the drummers, the singers and everything that went into it was amazing.”
Jarrad Ricketts opened the gig with a choir to back him up.
Jarrad looked dapper in his polka dot suit as he sang original songs coupled with covers.
Jeodhouse vocalist Esther Philander joined Jarrad on stage for a duet.
And the crowd went crazy when former Idols winner Sasha Lee Davids took to the stage.
The show also afforded two young Cape Flats talents the opportunity to perform at the Grand Arena for the first time.
Alistair himself stepped onto the stage, performing a variety of songs, including his catchy new single, Summer Party.
He was also frank about his “rebirth” following his stint in politics when he joined the Good Party, and says he is excited about still pursuing a career in politics.
Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels and Lira were the highlight of the show, while cast members from Arendsvlei were present and showed the crowd how to “get down”.
