It's a leap year party and there are loads of lekker activities to do this weekend.
On Friday, Mitchells Plain’s free college, Atvance Academy, is hosting their Leap Year Bash at the Portlands Indoor Centre.
Get It Entertainment will be on the decks to give mense a lekker jol.
Atvance Academy’s Robertha le Roux says the event is an attempt to raise funds for their first graduation.
“The college opened in August 2019 and this year will be our first graduation for the students who joined in the start,” she says.
“All the graduation expenses will be taken upon the academy, hence why we are hosting a fundraiser.
“The majority of our students consist of matriculants and even school-dropouts who have never experienced a proper graduation.”
She says the college is funded solely out of the pockets of the teachers “who want to invest in the Mitchells Plain community”.
The party starts at 7pm and the entry fee is R50.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary in entertainment for Neville D.
