US singer and actress Demi Lovato has been
admitted to hospital after a suspected drug overdose, according to
media reports Tuesday.
Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after suffering what
appeared to be a heroin overdose, celebrity website TMZ reported,
citing law enforcement sources.
TMZ cited the 25-year-old's aunt as saying that Lovato was "awake and
responsive."
A Los Angeles police spokesman told dpa that a 25-year-old woman was
taken to an area hospital following an emergency call from the
Hollywood Hills. He did not confirm the identity of the patient.
Actors and other Hollywood celebrities took to Twitter to send Lovato
good wishes.

through this," talk show host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted. "She is a
light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family."
