Wins for Stellenbosch and Cape Town City were just what the Cape Doctor ordered for the Western Cape’s relegation-threatened duo this weekend.
On a weekend when the Southeaster blasted the Mother City, could it have the winds of change blowing through the Cape’s PSL clubs?
Both Stellenbosch and Cape Town City picked up valuable wins in their battle against relegation and it was in no small measure to the wind.

On Friday night, Steve Barker’s manne from the winelands were in action at a blustery Athlone Stadium.
With Baroka looking to play with the ball on the carpet, Stellies could win the ball and play it over the top.
Waseem Isaacs was the man to score the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win in the 50th minute, heading in from Iqraam Rayners’ freekick.
City, meanwhile, upset title-chasing Wits with an impressive second-half display to run out 2-0 winners at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday night.

Jan Olde Riekerink’s team were played off the park by a team well-drilled by the wily Gavin Hunt in the first stanza.
But after the break it was all City, with Kermit Erasmus getting the opener with 23 minutes to play.
The striker reacted quickest when Taariq Fielies’ deflected long-range strike came back off the post.
City’s second came with three minutes to play when Craig Martin’s determined run was picked out by Surprise Ralani and the former picked his spot after going one on one with Ricardo Goss.
Martin was later sent off for a second yellow after a reckless challenge.
