Wits boss Gavin Hunt wishes his under-manned team will be fresh for Friday night’s PSL clash with Cape Town City.
They played to a 1-1 draw with champions Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida on Tuesday night, coming back from Gaston Sirino’s opener thanks to Gift Motupa’s equaliser.
His Students have flown under the radar in the title race since a huge exodus of backroom and playing staff at the start of the season.
And the point left them trailing second-placed Downs by five points, but still with three games in hand on Pitso Mosimane’s Brazilians.
Hunt will be hoping his manne can muster one last push this year before the festive break when they host City and demanded January reinforcements.

The four-time PSL-winning coach says: “We have another one on Friday which is a quick turnaround.
“We could’ve had another day... they will be fresh and waiting, you know what I mean?
“But we’ll certainly get better, we need one or two more bodies, that’s for sure.
“We just need a little more quality, we’re struggling in one or two areas, we only got 21 players.”
