Mamelodi Sundowns beat Chippa United 3-2 on Tuesday to keep the heat on log-leading Orlando Pirates, but the victory couldn’t brighten coach Pitso Mosimane’s mood.
Having fallen behind to a 25th-minute Mark Mayambela strike, Downs hit back through Hlompho Kekana, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Gaston Sirino, before Rhulani Manzini pulled one back for the visitors at Atteridgeville.
And while the Brazilians are still in the title race, they are still waiting on their punishment for fielding the ineligible Wayne Arendse in a league match against Wits earlier this season.
With this win the Brazilians managed to tighten the gap between Pirates on the Absa Premiership Log, all that separates us is goal difference now!

Mosimane says: “I still don’t know how many points I have and still don’t know who is going to get the points or how many points are going to get deducted.
“So, I’m not excited. It doesn’t mean anything to me. I’m talking about me, personally. I know what can happen to me, but Pitso will talk.”
