Robbie Fleck has challenged his Stormers team to end their Super Rugby season on a high after keeping their playoff hopes alive with a 34-22 win over the Highlanders on Saturday.
The Stormers ran in four tries at Newlands to stay within six points off the top of a tight South African Conference with three games left to play in the round-robin phase of the competition.
Their first is at local rivals the Lions this Saturday and Fleck says his manne are starting to believe.
He said after the game: “Last week [against the Crusaders], seeing the response from the players on the day, there is a different feel about it.
"The good thing is that we are starting to finish on a high. That is important.
“There is belief in the plan and now it is about managing players and getting them fresh for the weekend.
“The mindset and the plans are there, it is just about getting the bodies ready for the next challenge.”
One man Fleck would have been worried about is skipper Siya Kolisi, who went off with a knee problem, but the coach shrugged off the setback saying he had a “gut feeling” the Springbok captain would be fit.
