Stormers coach John Dobson believes he’s got the squad to do the business in this year’s Super Rugby tournament.
The Stormers announced their 45-man squad over the weekend and with 10 Springboks and a British and Irish Lion (new signing Jamie Roberts) in their ranks, the Capetonians want to roar during the final season at Newlands.
Opening their campaign in the Mother City against the Hurricanes on Saturday, Dobson says of his squad: “There has been a lot of planning and hard work that has gone in to get us to this point and we are very pleased with the way that our squad is shaping up.
“There is always an air of excitement ahead of the opening game and all the players and management cannot wait for the season to get going.

“We have got some incredible players on our books and the focus now is on turning out a team that will make our faithful supporters smile with the rugby that they play and the way they represent the Stormers.”
Meanwhile, a ticket for the final season at Newlands will cost you R2 900 and includes a Springbok Test, a special stadium farewell game, as well as the full Super Rugby and Currie Cup campaigns including all possible quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, for both the Stormers’ and Western Province’s campaigns.
