Orlando Pirates boss Micho hailed his team for recovering from a “calamitous” goal in Saturday’s PSL 1-1 opening-day draw with Highlands Park.
Bucs couldn’t hit their straps against a defensive newly-promoted Lions of the North and fell behind in the 15th minute thanks to a howler from goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands.
Sandliands skopped wind and let an easy back pass roll into his goal.
Pirates, though, did get a share of the points when Justin Shonga converted a 62nd-minute penalty.
And coach Micho says: “First of all, we played against a team that had the intention to take us on counter attacks.
“We have closed all the counter attacks but that calamitous goal we conceded put us on the back foot.
“We were playing against a team that was defence orientated. We created chances except... we didn’t score more.”
