Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has joined Turkish
side Besiktas on a two-year loan deal, the Premier League club
announced on Saturday.
Karius made 49 appearances after joining Liverpool from Mainz in
2016 but has not featured since making two errors that resulted in
goals in last season's Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old German's future at the club became precarious after
Brazil international Alisson was signed last month for 67 million
pounds (86 million dollars), at the time a world record for a
goalkeeper.
"Everybody at LFC wishes Loris the best of luck during his loan
spell," Liverpool said in a statement.
