The Stormers want to make 2020 a big one.
Led by inspirational captain Siya Kolisi, the “Thormers” will tackle the Sharks (Black Panther) at Soccer City on Sunday (1pm) in what will be their final warmup match for this season’s Super Rugby campaign.

Having never tasted success in the southern hemisphere showpiece, Kolisi, who led the Springboks to World Cup glory in Japan last year, believes this will be their season.
The captain explains: “We’ve been receiving the best support [at Newlands] each year and to be honest, we haven’t been doing that well.
“We want to make sure that we make it better on the field and off the field as well to show our appreciation for the fans as well.
“The most important thing is going to be to bring that energy [from the Springbok squad] into this team, not by talking but by doing...”
He adds: “I believe in this [Western Province] union so much and I would love to win a title with the Stormers - I’ve been here for nine years now and I’ve never won a single thing [with the Super Rugby team].”
