The PSL will kick off without Ajax Cape Town next weekend after the Urban Warriors sensationally withdrew their interdict to stop the start of the league campaign on Thursday.
On a dramatic day in the South Gauteng High Court, Ajax saw the league also granted leave to appeal Judge Denise Fisher’s ruling that reinstated them to 15th place in the league over the Tendai Ndoro matter.
Ajax also withdrew their Section 8 application that would have set Fisher’s judgment as law.
As far as the PSL are concerned, Ajax are an NFD side after they also announced next weekend’s fixtures without the Cape club.

However, there is the matter of the appeal to Judge Fisher’s ruling which will be reviewed by three judges as a matter of urgency – a date is yet to be confirmed.
PSL laywer Denis Sibuyi explains to IOL: “The purpose of that section is that even if the league is successful in getting the leave to appeal, the decision of Judge Fisher should remain.
“In a sense that even though you have a right to appeal that decision that has been given by the judge, which is being appealed, stands.
Ajax CEO Ari Efstathiou left with court without addressing the media.
They will reveal their next move at a press conference today at noon.
