Liverpool won’t be taking their foot off the gas in a week when they know they will have a target on their backs.
After winning the Champions League in May, Jurgen Klopp’s holders kick off their title defence in Napoli on Tuesday (9pm).
The Reds will know all about how tough it is in Naples after losing to Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the San Paolo in the group stage last year.
Then on Sunday, they go to Stamford Bridge to take on a resurgent Chelsea side that will like nothing more than to end the Reds’ perfect start to the Premier League campaign.
After one game a week up until now, Klopp’s squad will be tested like never before.

And leftback Andy Robertson warns ahead of their Italian job: “August was relaxed in terms of what we’re used to but September is back to the busy schedule.
“So it’s all about recovering, we need to recover properly and we need to be ready to go [tonight].
“September is a busy period - we need to come through it firing and get the results we need.”
