Liverpool have surrendered their Premier League lead and will hope Manchester City slip up after being held to a 0-0 draw by Everton on Sunday night.

While Marco Silva’s Toffees no doubt celebrated taking a point from the title contenders, and denting their cross-town rivals’ title hopes, once again, the Reds lacked the cutting edge up front.
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was the hero with a brilliant first-half save from Mohamed Salah, who was denied by a superb last-ditch challenge from Michael Keane after the break.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was rarely troubled apart from a diving save from Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s header and while the title chasers created the better opportunities, they were frustrated - as they were against Manchester United at Old Trafford a week ago.
In a bid to break the deadlock, Klopp threw on Bobby Firminho in the 63rd minute, but the striker was unable to open up the Blues defence.
Manchester City now stand a point clear with nine games remaining and Liverpool will have to chase the defending champs.
