Cape Town City must stop the rot at fellow PSL underachievers Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
The 3.30pm kickoff pits the 10th-placed Buccaneers against Benni McCarthy’s manne who are one position below them.
The Citizens have failed to win their last four league games, a run of form that has heaped enough pressure on McCarthy to admit that his job is under threat.
While City shouldn’t be consoling themselves with the problems in the opposition camp, Bucs have arguably fallen further than this weekend’s guests.
After finishing runners-up last season, the wheels have come off big time for the Sea Robbers since coach Micho’s shock exit at the start of the season.

Still Bucs boss Rhulani Mokwena says his manne will focus on fighting for the remaining 72 points on offer in the league.
He tells Kickoff: “I think if we play [in the same manner as against Wits], nine times out of 10, with the same standard of performance we’d probably win the match.
“But it’s a work in progress, we’re integrating a lot of new players and we’ve changed structures slightly from what we played in the last two seasons.

“So, we just keep working and trying to make sure there’s 72 points left to play for, so we’ll continue to fight and make sure we gather as many as possible.”
McCarthy will be without Abbubaker Mobara after his serious ankle injury in their 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows last weekend.
The former Pirates man’s absence could mean a return to the starting line-up for Roland Putsche for the first time since February.
