Cape Town City players be warned, die pitbull gaan weer blaf as soon as the PSL international break is over.
That pitbull is coach Benni McCarthy, who is moeg of his side’s “chillaxed” approach after they botched an early lead to lose 2-1 to Kaizer Chiefs at Newlands on Tuesday.
Having dominated the first half and failing to build on Kermit Erasmus’ third-minute strike, City lost their grip on the game after the break and conceded twice in the final 15 minutes of the game.

En hulle coach lag nie meer nie, saying: “Damn, I can’t believe we lost this ‘chillax’ approach, out the window.
“When I come back [after the international break], they must be aware of the pitbull - the pitbull is coming back!

“What our players don’t want to seem to understand is how football works.
“When you play the so-called bigger teams, when you do what we did in the first half.
“First half I was satisfied. I told them not to get complacent or to get too over-confident because we showed the football we planned to play.
“When you are sloppy and naive the way we were second half, you’re going to get punished. The boys are holding their head in their hands but it’s of their own doing.”
