Cape Town City kept their slim PSL title hopes alive, clawing their way to a 1-1 draw with Highlands Park on Tuesday night.
Benni McCarthy’s manne had Craig Martin’s 84th-minute goal to thank for the point after Tendai Ndoro’s opener at Cape Town Stadium.
It was a brave performance by the Citizens, who played 70 minutes of the match with 10 men following Kermit Erasmus’s moment of madness.
The striker was shown a straight red for kicking out at Mothobi Mvala, who tried to delay a free kick.

McCarthy, though, feels that Erasmus shouldn't have been the only one punished for the incident.
The frustrated City boss says: “This can’t go on longer. It’s either the league steps up, educate the referees properly or I’ll rather take myself out of the equation because it’s not worth coaching when you have to suffer every single.”
