Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau is up for the Afcon challenge as he and his teammates stepped up their preparations for Egypt.
Training for the continental showpiece is in full swing in Gauteng ahead of their Group D opener against Ivory Coast on June 24.
After a long club football season, Stuart Baxter’s manne need to synch up for the national team.
Tau will hope he can carry the form that saw him named Belgium’s best player in the second division after his loan season at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise into the tournament.

And the Brighton man says he and his teammates have to put the fatigue behind them and get revved up for the Green and Gold.
The 25-year-old says: “The most important thing is to look after yourself.
“My body has become adjusted to this rigorous schedule of professional football.

“It has been a good year for me in Belgium, what I have done [collecting personal accolades] and what the team has done; lots of positives.
“It took a while for me to adjust in the new environment [in Belgium], finding new friends etc.
“I was at Mamelodi Sundowns for seven years and the team had become my home and going to Belgium meant finding new friends but that is what it is like in the football world.”
