Old Trafford will witness the return of Cristiano Ronaldo when Manchester United host Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday night (9 pm)
Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the European Cup as well as his first Ballon d’Or with the Red Devils before joining Real Madrid in 2009 for a then-world record of £80m.
Many United fans still idolise their former No.7, but they know as well as any team Ronaldo has scored against that he is coming to score more for Juve on Tuesday night.
And Red Devils midfielder Ander Herrera reckons that while the fans can enjoy CR7’s return, their current players will be out to make it a night to forget.
Herrera says: “He [Cristiano] came back with Real Madrid and I think our fans still love him, what he did for the club was great.
“But I hope he enjoys it only before the game.”
Herrera warns that Ron is not the only threat the Italian champions pose - with the likes of Mario Mandzukic, Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala in attack.
He warns: “Nowadays [with Juve] it’s not only about the defence, but I think they are very strong also in attack.
“They are a very balanced team, very experienced and they have great players, and they have done really well in the last few years.
“Juve have been almost unstoppable in the last few years so congratulations to them, but we will try to beat them and I think it’s a very good challenge for us.”
