Riyad Mahrez dedicated his winner for Manchester City over Tottenham to his former Leicester chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
The Algerian netted the only goal of the match in the sixth minute from a Raheem Sterling cross and pointed to the skies with both hands in memory of the Foxes owner who died in a tragic helicopter crash on Saturday.
Mahrez, who joined City in July for £60m, said after the match: “It’s very, very, very sad.
“That’s why when I scored, I put my hands up to the sky for him. He did a lot for me and for Leicester.
“It’s difficult to speak about it – very sad. He was like a dad for us – very, very special.”
