Liverpool found themselves facing a goalkeeping crisis just 38 minutes into the new Premier League season.
That’s how long it took for Reds No.1 Alisson to injure a calf muscle in action against Norwich on Friday, ruling the Brazilian out for at least a month.
Luckily for coach Jurgen Klopp, he had made moves in the transfer market to land former West Ham shotstopper Adrian on a free after seeing Simon Mignolet leave the club and has third-choice Caiomhin Kelleher back from a broken wrist.
With Adrian the only fit keeper at Anfield, the Reds are scrambling to find backup after the Prem transfer window shut last Thursday.

And they are looking at 35-year-old free agent Andy Lonergan, after having the former Middlesbrough man join the club on their pre-season tour to the US.
The Champions League winners will have to act fast ahead of Wednesday’s Uefa Super Cup clash against Europa League champions Chelsea and a full Prem league schedule this month.
Klopp is happy to have Adrian in Alisson’s absence, hailing the Spaniard’s confidence.
The boss says: “He is a very confident guy. If you are in a situation like this you want to have somebody who has played the league and who is experienced. He is 32, a calm guy, emotional as well, good with his feet and that’s really important for us.
“There are a lot of good things, but you still don’t want to have a situation where one goalie is fit. That’s how it is, but we have to see.”
