Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes his manne can come out on top in their top-of-the-table clash at Liverpool this Saturday.
The Gunners and the Reds were the only Premier League teams with 100 percent records after two rounds, before Manchester United’s trip to Wolves on Monday evening.
And Emery is keen to keep it that way when he meets the champions of Europe.

He says: “Really our target is to reduce the distance [between us] and Manchester City and Liverpool last season, and when we go to play against them it’s a big moment to show how [much stronger] we can be.
“But I really think we have the spirit in the dressing room and I am very happy because I am seeing the team involved in this process now.
“We are going there [to Anfield] with six points from two games. Next week is a very good match for every supporter of Arsenal.”
After giving Nicolas Pepe second-half cameos in his first two games, the boss hints that he could unleash the £72m signing alongside attacking aces Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in what will be a mouthwatering battle with the Reds’ famous front three.

Emery adds: “The structure of playing in their game plan is very strong and we needed to adapt to that. After, the goals of Lacazette and Aubameyang is amazing. And Pepe’s impact is very good.
“He has been with us only two weeks and he needs to fit more… he is feeling before the match, and he is feeling progressively better, but he needs more.”
