Kaizer Chiefs boss Giovanni Solinas bitched about the Makhulong Stadium pitch after his side’s goalless draw at Highlands Park on Tuesday night.
The Italian says the bumpy surface made it impossible for Amakhosi to play their attacking football on the night as they failed to build on their run of three wins from their last three outings.
After the match, he said: “Both teams played well, but for us it was difficult because the dimensions of the field is small.
“The grass [pitch] is no good, I don’t know why they didn’t cut it.”
Meanwhile, SuperSport United failed to get back to winning ways after losing last weekend’s MTN8 final to Cape Town City.
Coach Tembo Kaitano’s manne played to a 1-1 draw at Polokwane, with Aubrey Modiba’s 10th-minute freekick cancelled out after after half an hour by Ayanda Nkili.
