Staurt Baxter demanded more from his Bafana Bafana history makers ahead of Tuesday's Afcon 2019 qualifier against the Seychelles in Victoria (2.30pm).
South Africa recorded their biggest win with Saturday’s 6-0 Group E victory over the islanders at FNB Stadium in Soweto, and top their pool.
But while the goals finally flew in for Baxter’s team, there were still a number of wasted chances and the odd lapse of concentration.
However, Baxter is min gespin about the negatives and wants to harness the feel-good factor for the rest of their campaign - which includes an away trip to Libya and a home match against Nigeria - to reach next year’s Cameroon finals.
The former Kaizer Chiefs boss says: “I won’t focus at all [on the mistakes].
“They won’t see one mistake that was made today. Because I think their overall performance, I think we should want more of that.”
The Brit adds: “I just think that when South Africans play in a structured enough way, where they can move the ball and use their speed and imagination, we have potential in this country.
“I won’t be showing the negative stuff, I will be showing the good stuff and want more of that.”
