Mauricio Pochettino lost his cool as he defended his team selection after Tottenham suffered a “cruel” 2-1 defeat at Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Poch left key men Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld at home for the match and paid for it dearly with a third straight loss – his worst run as Spurs boss.
Christian Eriksen put the Londoners in the lead in Milan, only for Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino to stun them late on.
Poch says: “Please don’t disrespect the players who were playing, because it’s my decision. Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, we have 25 players.
“And you ask me with your question, that you can play only 11 and the other 13 or 14 players are rubbish? are s***?”
