Things seem to just get worse and worse for arme relegated Ajax Cape Town as coach Muhsin Ertugral revealed that he could leave the club.
Last week, the club accepted their fate in the Ndorogate saga and announced that they will compete in the NFD in the upcoming season, as CEO Ari Efstathiou revealed that parent club are considering pulling out of their investment.
Tuesday, captain Mosa Lebusa left the club to join up with PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Coach Muhsin says of the versatile defender: “Lebusa has done well for us. He is leaving the club. He is joining Sundowns and I think he will do well there.”
But the uncertainty around the Turkish coach’s future will be more worrying for fans of Ajax after Efstathiou confirmed that the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates boss had committed to helping the club secure immediate promotion to the PSL.
Muhsin lamented that the Cape club’s relegation, stressing that the club has produced some of South Africa’s biggest talents.
He tells IOL: “The club has a structure. It is so unfortunate that the problem couldn’t be solved in time. South African Football need Ajax Cape Town.
“The possibility from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are always there. If they come, I will look at the them but for now my focus is on assembling a very good young squad that will compete in the NFD.
“It is completely a rebuilding process and I can’t leave the club in this situation. We building a good team of 19 and 20 years old.”
