Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hailed his side’s maturity to kill off Watford 3-0 and stay two points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.
After a frustrating first half against the tough Hornets, the Reds finally broke through Mo Salah with 23 minutes to play and they closed out the game with a Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick strike and Roberto Firmino’s third after Jordan Henderson was sent off for a second yellow card.
And Klopp says: “I think the result tells the story because we stayed stubborn, they defended and counter-attacked so we had a few really good moments.
“How we closed down the game was just brilliant, especially the third goal. The first goal was brilliant football and the free kick from Trent was a dream.”
