Things haven’t been going too well at the union of late, with president Thelo Wakefield having to send out a press release over the weekend to deny reports that the union hasn’t sold Newlands for R100m to fix their financial woes.
Further reports suggested that Province are ready to offload a number of players, including hooker Scarra Ntubeni after this year’s Currie Cup.
But for Dobson and his team, who are on their way to France for two pre-season friendlies, it’s about what happens between the four lines.
The Currie Cup coach explains: “We are looking forward to experiencing the rugby culture in France, which will give us a great opportunity to come together as a team.
“We have two tough matches to prepare for, which should give us a good idea of where we are at ahead of the Currie Cup
campaign.”
